DESCRIPTION:As the U.S. Presidential elections approach\, the intersection of politics and science takes a background role\, yet it has heavily influenced pivotal national agendas in the U.S. This talk explores how campaigns and candidates leverage scientific issues to bolster their platforms\, addressing climate change\, healthcare\, technology and other issues. Join the talk on Zoom to understand the role of science policy in elections and its implications for shaping America's future after the elections.  \nJason Royce Lindsey received his PhD from Columbia University and is currently Professor of Political Science at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. His specialization is contemporary political theory though he also studies the politics of Eastern Europe and travels there extensively. The talk will be moderated by Assoc. prof.
