In the summer of 2025, UL FESS will graduate 398 bachelor’s degree recipients and 122 master’s degree recipients. FESS graduations are joyful events that affirm the power of knowledge and the courage to dream big.
"Each of the more than 500 graduates of our faculty this summer has invested tremendous effort, persistence, and dedication to reach this point, and now you can be proud of your education – your bachelor’s or master’s degree," emphasized UL FESS Dean Prof. Jānis Priede in his address to the graduates. "This diploma is proof of your knowledge and skills, making you competitive and ready for the new challenges ahead. To bachelor’s graduates, I say: think about your next step. Master’s studies can provide you with additional intellectual strength that makes you even more powerful in the job market. By specializing more deeply in a certain field, you can become expert professionals, respected leaders, and valued voices. As for our master’s graduates – you have already demonstrated your ability to go deeper and grow, and now you are ready to lead and innovate in your fields.
Whether you choose to continue your studies or move forward in your professional career, your education is a strong foundation for making wise decisions and building a successful future!”
We are especially proud of the 22 graduates – both bachelor’s and master’s – in the social sciences who are graduating with distinction this year. The graduates with honors are: Alina Babiča, Hilda Cīrule, Aleksandra Čehovska, Anete Dzērve, Anna Žanete Freimane, Margarita Ivanova, Evelīna Jonina, Anna Jupite, Helēna Kubila, Samanta Linmeijere, Daniils Prohorovs, Andrejs Pudāns, Daina Reimane, Liāna Rožina, Madara Salnīte, Madara Stašāne, Anna Strautniece, Jekaterina Timoščuka, Evelīna Paula Vāvere, Kerīna Venskus, Nicholas Taylor Wynn, and Marija Katrīna Zariņa.
Additionally, 133 FESS graduates this summer are receiving the UL Rector’s Commendation for outstanding and/or socially significant research in their final theses – including 86 bachelor’s works and 47 exemplary master’s theses.
The UL FESS graduation ceremonies will traditionally take place at the UL Aula Magna, Raiņa bulvāris 19, on June 20 and June 25.

 Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (FESS), the long-awaited graduation season has arrived – a moment when we proudly and joyfully congratulate our graduates, whose curiosity, perseverance, and determination have culminated in an outstanding achievement: earning a UL diploma. This summer, 530 new bachelor’s and master’s graduates will complete their studies at UL FESS.
