University of Latvia will host international conference with participation of Geert Hofstede
From June 29th to July 2nd, 2014 in Riga, University of Latvia will take place international scientific conference on subject Values in Shock: The role of contrasting management, economic, and religious paradigms in the workplace.
Guest of honour of the conference in world renowned scientist and founder of classical intercultural theory - Dutch professor Geert Hofstede. This conference will gather not only academics and researchers from all over the world but also leaders of companies and organizations who have experienced and caused change of values in their companies and organizations. During the conference Riga city mayor Nils Ušakovs, leader of non-governmental organization „Possible Mission” Ingrīda Blūma, owner and manager of SAF Tehnika and other will take the floor.
Deadline for application to conference: November 15. Register summaries of your research works on subjects of: ethics, leadership, family-work conflict, intercultural perspectives, motivation, human resource management, organizational culture etc. More detailed information regarding requirements and regulations for work submission on isswov.org, in section Conference 2014.
Conference is organized by Faculty of Economics and Management of University of Latvia in cooperation with ISSWOV (International Scientific Society of Work and Organizational Values) which is high level international scientific society and focuses on research of work and organizational values. Scientific conferences are organized every second year and so far have taken place in various countries of the world (India, Portugal, Singapore, Estonia, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Canada, Spain etc.).
