The Baltic-German University Liaison Office has announced project competition 2017. The project competition offers support to the universities and the research institutions of the Baltic states in cooperation with a partner institution from Germany. Supported will be projects in any field of science with the financial support up to 5 000 EUR.

Conditions of participation: ·       The applicant must represent a higher education or research institution in Latvia, Estonia or Lithuania. ·       The project must improve the quality of higher education and the development of science in Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania and must strengthen scientific cooperation with Germany. ·       The applicant must cooperate with a partner, who represents a state or a licensed university or some other research institution in Germany. Additionally, more than one partner from Germany and the Baltic States can be involved in the project. Projects, in which all three Baltic States are involved, obtain priority, concerning the approval. Application deadlines: ·       until 17.10.2016: project has to be implemented between 15.01.2017 – 15.11.2017 ·       until 15.03.2017: project has to be implemented between 15.06.2017 – 15.12.2017   Documents to be submitted in German or English: 1.     Project application 2.     Financing plan 3.     Cooperation confirmation from German partner university(ies) or institution(s)   The Baltic-German University Liaison Office organizes a seminar for preparation of project applications for the project competition 2017 of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office that will take place on 15 September, 2016 at 16.00 (arrival from 15.30) at the Riga Technical University, Room 409, Kaļķu iela 1, Riga. In this seminar participants will be informed about the project competition of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office, the conditions for taking part in the competition, as well as about the correct preparation of project application forms. The evaluation will be made by the commission of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office, which consists of the scientists from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany. The project applicants will be informed in written form about the results as soon as the decision is made.
