On November 13th Latvian Economic Development Forum (LEDF) Award was presented to the authors of best scientific works. As second best in competition was awarded master’s thesis of graduate of Faculty of Economics and Management of UL Inga Jēkabsone „Prosperity Research System for Latvian Municipalities”, in which life quality of municipalities is defined as dominating factor for residents to make decision regarding staying in specific place of residency, and not to migrate to other.
Latvian Economic Development Forum, which presents this award for the 13th time already, together with partner Council of Higher Education awarded the 1st place to master’s thesis of student of Latvia University of Agriculture Ilze Priževoite „Facotrs affecting educator’s work payment in general education authorities in Latvia”.
Students of Stockholm School of Economics Kristīne Kazaka and Sabīne Sipunova came in 3rd place with their bachelor’s thesis „Gazelles: Reasons behind extraordinary growth - Study of Latvian high-growth companies”.
Gratitude was expressed to Aiji Poļakova and Laura Mozule from Stockholm School of Economics for scientific research work „Unemployment as a Challenge of Latvia’s Pension System in the Long-Term Perspective”.
LEDF Award discovers for wider society topics interesting young specialists and allows representatives of our state to see current economic processes through their eyes. For one of the longest existing student scientific work competition in Latvia „LEDF Award” annually several dozens of works are submitted from all over Latvia.
