The programme lasts seven months, during which selected teams work with expert trainers and mentors and deep dive together into business modelling and business planning. Based on the developed business plan, the start-ups are evaluated, and the best teams in each category are qualified for the Grand Final, where they compete for the prize of 10,000 EUR in each category.

The competition is open to all individuals and teams of natural persons - researchers, master, and Ph.D. students or research groups from universities and research organisations; professionals, idea holders, or idea owners that have an idea / solution and wants to start a company. Start-ups who registered their company (connected to the business idea in application) in the given calendar year (from January 1st 2024) are eligible for the programme.

Bootcamps will be held online in May-June
Local joint training: July-September
Grand Final: late November
The applications can be submitted either by a single idea holder or by a team represented by a contact person. The participation of a team is welcome and appreciated in the evaluation, especially when the team is covering different competencies required in running a start-up.
The idea must be within EIT Health focus areas: New models to deliver healthcare; Digital transformation of healthcare; The re-industrialisation of Europe.
