CONFERENCEPrimary project aim:
To enhance the social role of universities by strengthening the link between universities and society, resulting in the development of national policies to support the third mission of universities and to promote social cohesion, resilience, sustainability, and well-being in Ukraine.
Project aims:
To develop and discuss national policy for the implementation of the third mission of universities and for promoting cooperation between universities and society (indicators: policy document; roadmap, national guidelines, published study);
To design a model strategy for strengthening relations between universities and society, taking into account societal needs, with the aim of fostering civic engagement and citizen participation, based on the principles of equality, solidarity, non-discrimination, and inclusion, as well as to pilot it within participating higher education institutions and relevant social groups;
To promote cooperation between the project’s target groups and stakeholders on university–society collaboration, drawing on European experience and practices in the fields of inclusion and gender equality, cybersecurity and digitalisation, ecology, civic education, and other areas;
To increase universities’ social responsibility and public engagement by enhancing their capacity in community development and local leadership;
To foster collaboration between the project’s target groups and stakeholders in university–society partnerships, based on European experience and practices;
To ensure high-quality project implementation in line with the best European practices in academic content and project management;
To guarantee proper cooperation between the project coordinator, target groups, and stakeholders in order to ensure timely project implementation and adequate reporting to European and national institutions.
