The open lectures are free of charge and will take place as regular Master’s-level classes attended by current students alongside visitors. This format provides an opportunity to observe the study process in an authentic academic setting, meet students and academic staff, and ask questions about the programmes and study experience. Most lectures will take place on-site at different University of Latvia locations, while some will be held online or in urban environments. Participants are welcome to attend one or several lectures to gain a better understanding of the study content and the academic environment at the University.
At the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, the open lectures will organized in the Master’s programmes “European Studies and Economic Diplomacy” as well as “Cultural and Social Anthropology”.
Open lectures provide a valuable opportunity for prospective students to evaluate the suitability of their chosen study programme and to prepare in advance for the next academic step. The University therefore encourages prospective students to use this spring opportunity to explore study programmes in advance and make an informed decision about continuing their studies at the Master’s level.
