Modern technologies and complex work tasks require employees to maintain high levels of concentration, which leads to cognitive, emotional, and physical overload, resulting in a multidimensional state of fatigue — physical, mental, and emotional. Mental fatigue, when interacting with physical fatigue, limits employees’ attention and emotional processes, thereby weakening overall work performance. Various types of fatigue are underpinned by multiple causal factors, including the influence of psycho-emotional risks.

The aim of this project is to examine the impact of fatigue as a multidimensional variable on office workers’ performance in relation to psycho-emotional risks at work. The study will assess physical, mental, and emotional fatigue in connection with psycho-emotional stress at the workplace using various measures of physical and cognitive functions, as well as test possible interventions and their impact on performance.
